Good evening/day/night/morning/whatever.
I haven't posted on my blog for a while. I want to, but I find myself too lazy to type all the things I would want to tell. Well, first thing first; I got a new laptop. MacBook Air. Loving it so far! A nice downsize from my cumbersome 17 inch Dell. I am thinking of sending it into that Colorware place to get it recolored to orange. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone. :]
Today, September 2nd, was my first day of high school at George Stevens Academy. Wonderful day. All the teachers were very nice and I am incredibly glad I do not have to be stuck in the same room every day with the same teacher all year. It's quite the liberating feeling. Definitely going to be different than S.E.S. Saw quite a few people I know or that I have heard of, but didn't talk to them, as I am quite shy and awkward around new people. It's sad. So. No more school until the 8th. Elizabeth's birthday. I really hope to do well in high school. Getting into an excellent college means so much to me.
About a week ago, my dog, Ruby, had an epileptic seizure. Her first one ever. I was sitting in mom's chair, and Ruby was laying in dad's. She then started shaking, but with stiff joints, it seemed. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she started trying to scratch her face, like something was obstructing her vision. I instantly knew, for mom and I watch quite a few medical shows together, that she was seizing. I sprinted upstairs to mom and dad, who were already sleeping, and I kept yelling 'Mom! MOM! Ruby's having a seizure!' Mom ran downstairs and so did Dad. Let's just skip to the next part, because father and I got into a little fight and it was not very good at all. Mom finally got Ruby's tongue out of the back of her throat, since it was lodged down, and got her breathing again. Ruby was then acting rather disoriented, as one does after a seizure, so Mom and I, along with Elizabeth, drove to Brewer, about a 45 minute drive, and got her to the Emergency Veterinarian's at about 10:30 P.M. The vet did a lot of tests and said it was a normal seizure and that purebreds, such as Ruby, have seizures a substantial amount more than mixed breeds. It was definitely a scary situation. She is alright now, and is going to go get spayed... next week? Meh. I don't entirely remember.
The last few days of vacation, I spent relaxing at home, on my new laptop, and watching the James Bond movie marathon on for three days. Haha. Those are actually good movies. I saw Casino Royale (♥), Goldeneye, and some of License to Kill. Always seemed to miss License to Kill. Hmm. Well, yeah. I really did enjoy Casino Royale. First time I saw it, I was on my eighth grade field trip, coming back from Massachusetts. Abby (Nowland) and I were the only ones watching it, and she had to explain most of it to me, as I was tired, parched, and sunburnt from a day at Six Flags. And not to mention rather cranky from being in the same hotel room as Mrs. A :/ . Well at least I had Nikki (Robbins). Gah. She's my partner in crime. :]
Also, I am quite in love with the song You Know My Name by Chris Cornell. Of course, it is the theme song to Casino Royale. How typical me. Haha. I really feel obligated to see Quantum of Solace now. Gosh. I really want to see it. Enough about James Bond movies, now. I am sure you, the reader, are getting sick of my ramblings. It's inevitable, sorry. :P
Oh, and I am quite interested in classical music at the moment. I really have liked it; but Elizabeth has made fun of me for having it on my iPod. What!? It's relaxing and quite nice, really.
Oh!! Forgot to mention that I had the worst migraine I've ever had on August 30th. In a nutshell, I was in Bangor, had the aura before the migraine, and then had such a severe migraine that I threw up in a bag for at least 5 miles on the way back home. I felt like crud. It was not good by any means.
Ah.
So this is my past couple of weeks for you. Rather odd and exciting in a not very good way.
:]
